The Sixties

The swinging image of the Sixties masks a time of turbulent change. The educator uses the lives and experiences of young people as a basis. Through hands-on tasks, they experience daily life as it was in their grandparents’ youth, and how this still impacts on life today.

Granddad used to have a Beatles mop-top haircut, while granny’s hair used to reach her navel. In this interactive programme, you and your group will travel through time. The main theme for 2017 is music; how is it possible to listen to music without YouTube or iPods? A selection of posters, iconic album covers, and video and audio clips of festivals bring the 1960s back to life. Active tasks are adapted to match the schooling, education or interests of your group, and are particularly suited to special classes.
